Sack public office holders supporting Perkasa, says PKR

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat vice-president Dr Lee Boon Chye urged Najib Tun Razak to sack all public office holders who are supporting Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa), if the Prime Minister is sincere about promoting unity as an objective of 1Malaysia concept.
This is because the ultra-racist pronouncement of Perkasa is detrimental to continuing progress of the country and against national
unity. It is in stark contrast to the pronounced policy of 1-Malaysia.
Leaders who hold public office who attended the launching of the inaugural meeting of Perkasa on March 27 at the Putra World Trade Centre here include Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Mukhriz Mahathir, Deputy Finance Minister Awang Adek Hussin and Elections Commission deputy chairman Wan Ahmad Wan Omar. Information Minister Rais Yatim had also openly expressed support for Perkasa.
Lee, who is also Gopeng MP, demanded that these individuals be sacked from holding public office so that efforts to build a united, progressive Malaysia can succeed.
