Has The Law Truly Become an Ass?

For an event with only two outcomes, there is a 50-50 chance of it happening either way. So you would have thought. Consequently, many wanted the verdict of 9 February of the country’s top judges in the apex court to reflect that logical outcome. More so in a constitutional impasse that has drawn attention of the entire nation, nay the entire world.

Zambry is the lawful MB, Federal Court agrees
PUTRAJAYA, Feb 9 — The Federal Court today agreed with the Court of Appeal and ruled that Barisan Nasional's Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir is the lawful Mentri Besar of Perak. This snuffs out the last hope of his toppled political rival and predecessor Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin to be reinstated to the position.

BHARU, Feb 6: PAS Spiritual Adviser Nik Aziz Nik Mat invited Umno to discuss religion and religious issues, with special focus on finding a way forward in the Allah row, and not on politics or forming a unity government as Prime Minister Najib Razak and his cohorts are trying to imply, PAS leaders said.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6: Civil society groups and political leaders have urged Prime Minister Najib Razak not to let his special officer Nasir Safar off with just a resignation and a police probe that leads nowhere, as that would be “adding salt to the wound” of the Chinese and Indian communities that Nasir insulted earlier this week.
